🧭 GENERAL INFORMATION

Is there a dress code for the conference?

We encourage attendees to wear what makes them feel comfortable and confident throughout the day. There’s no formal dress code in place, so whether you’re in slacks, jeans, a blazer, or your favorite sneakers, you’ll fit right in. Just aim for attire that’s appropriate and allows you to fully enjoy sessions, networking, and walking throughout the venue.Ā Remember that meeting rooms tend to be well air conditioned so we recommend layers.

Where can I find agenda information?

Be sure you have downloaded the Whova mobile app on your smart device–using the same email address that you used to register for the conference–to help plan your conference schedule. In our attempt to be as green as possible, there won’t be physical copies of the agenda at this year’s conference. Please refer to your Whova conference app for selecting which sessions you plan to attend and to see the latest agenda updates.Ā  Personal selection in the app does not guarantee a seat in that session.Ā  Seats are first come, first served.

You may also access the web version of the conference agenda at https://hrindianashrm.org/agenda.

Where is the registration desk located?

You can find the registration desk (where attendees may check in upon arrival) on the first floor of the Indiana Convention Center in the ICC Wabash East Corridor

Is there a hashtag?Ā

We encourage posting and sharing at the conference! Please tag our SHRM Indiana profiles in your social media posts about the conference (so we can like and reshare your posts–see the below handles and links!) and use the hashtag #HRIndiana.

Where can I find the lost and found?Ā

Where can I access floor maps of the event venues in order to become familiar with room locations?Ā

Within our ā€œSHRM Indiana Annual Conference 2025ā€ event in the Whova app, look for the floor map-related buttons in the ā€œAdditional Resourcesā€ section of our event on the ā€œHomeā€ screen of the app.

Additionally, there will be signage throughout the conference venues to help you.

What should I do if I miss a session I really wanted to attend?

If you are a registered attendee with access to the conference event via the Whova app, then you may find slide decks and/or PDF worksheets available in the session profiles.Ā  These are available if the speaker elected to share them.Ā

How do I connect with other attendees or speakers?

Please feel free to connect with other attendees and speakers via the Whova app for messaging, scheduling meetups, or scanning digital business cards.Ā

You can also connect to your local HR chapter’s group chat to stay informed about local meetups and announcements (see how-to guide).

By adding your event-specific interests and areas of focus to your Whova profile, you make it easier for other attendees to find and connect with you (see how-to guide).
