Bringing Your Authentic Self

I had the opportunity to check out a short clip about work culture and belonging recently. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6uuIHpFkuo) It really made me reflect on why it’s so important to bring your ‘Authentic Self’ to work each day. While assimilating to your workplace isn’t a bad thing – giving up who you are at the door is. Remember – just because you can’t see what makes someone different, doesn’t mean they wouldn’t react positively, or feel more comfortable being their authentic self if they saw a true example of representation and organizational acceptance.
Sometimes it’s not about drastic change – it’s about moving the needle, even just a little.
