We provide resources, leadership and development opportunities for our SHRM members and human resource practitioners throughout Indiana.
What we do
As the Indiana state affiliate of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), we bring together representatives from 14 local chapters to form the Indiana State Council of SHRM. We serve the needs of all chapters and SHRM members across the state by providing resources, opportunities and strategic direction for advancing the HR profession in their local communities. We also serve as a vital connection between local members and the national SHRM organization.
Human resources is a broad and growing field. SHRM welcomes experienced HR professionals, those just getting started, students and anyone performing HR duties within their organization, whether “HR” is in their title or not.
Our Mission
Support. Connect. Engage.
Our Vision
Be Indiana’s trusted community leaders in people strategy.
Our Strategic Objectives

- Membership: To support all SHRM members (national, local chapter and student members) with resources and opportunities.
- Partnerships: To partner with organizations that share our mission to advance the HR profession.
