SHRM Foundation

The SHRM Foundation is a values-based organization that advances our profession in a number of ways. The Foundation champions workforce and workplace transformation by providing:

  • Research-based HR solutions for challenging inclusion issues facing employees and potential employees
  • Scholarships to educate and develop HR professionals and students to make change happen
  • Opportunities for HR professionals to make a difference in their local communities

We support the SHRM Foundation’s vision to empower HR professionals to build inclusive organizations where all all employees thrive and organizations achieve success. We do this by inspiring the HR community throughout the state to donate their time, talent and treasure.

Time

Body: Encouraging chapter members to volunteer their time to support the SHRM Foundation mission is an excellent way to keep members active and engaged. Volunteer opportunities range from event coordination to fundraising and everything in between.

The SHRM Foundation recognizes the dedicated work of volunteers who give their time. Learn how to give your time.

Talent

The Foundation awards a number of scholarships to professionals and students to obtain undergraduate or graduate degrees, obtain their SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification, or attend SHRM conferences and seminars. HR professionals who volunteer their talents review scholarship applications, consult on Foundation publications and more.

Chapter leaders can find resources for encouraging members to volunteer their talents.

Treasure

At both the state and local level, HR Indiana SHRM and local chapters engage in fundraising activities to support the SHRM Foundation. Every dollar raised goes to support the Foundation’s scholarship and thought-leadership activities.
