SHRM defines diversity as “the collective mixture of differences and similarities that includes, for example, individual and organizational characteristics, values, beliefs, experiences, backgrounds, preferences, and behaviors.”
In today’s competitive economy, more organizations are investing in a diverse workforce as a competitive advantage and are turning to HR to lead the charge.
Inclusion, Equity, and Diversity Resources
Inclusion, equity, and diversity are cornerstones of modern business strategy. HR Indiana SHRM is dedicated to helping HR professionals and practitioners across the state implement strategies to further inclusion, equity, and diversity by providing valuable resources and opportunities, like the Midwest Diversity, Disability and Inclusion Awareness Conference in Indianapolis.
Current initiatives of the SHRM Foundation focus on driving inclusion, equity, and diversity in the workplace and on developing research and tools to support these goals.
